One of the best parts about painting is that you can always start over. I would consider this piece my first "real painting." You would never know it but underneath these primary colors and burst of energy lies an odd depiction of pigs running away from an unsympathetic society. I created this painting in my first painting class, this was before I knew I wanted to be an artist for the rest of my life. I was coming from a structured lifestyle and took the painting class as an escape from it all. It was here that I found what I was looking for and where I was given the critique by my peers that would shape the way I view and think about art and creation. It was here where I learned that perfection is boring to me.
